Image
The Video that I choose to take notes on is called “Seven Secrets of the Goddess”. The fifth and sixth part of the video is called Kali’s Secret. It was a really interesting video I got to learn a lot of stuff in this video about Goddess Kali and what do people see Kali as a Goddess. It also talks about three type of Kali Goddess such as symbol of power, wisdom, and shame. The video starts out describing the how Kali looks. From that two part of Kali secret my favorite part of the first is the battle with Demon Raktabeeja. He obtained a boon from Lord Brahma that if any of his blood falls on the ground it would transform into a seeds, which will make a duplicated of himself, so basically nobody could kill him. Shiva personally went to Parvati to go defeat the Raktabeeja Demon. She went into battle with two forms, one with multi arms Chandi and Kali. As Goddess Chandi fought Raktabeeja before his blood fell on the ground Goddess Kali would suck the blood before hitting the ground so it...

It was chaos on the Earth because Demons were running rampant on the Earth for past hundred years. So Goddess Parvati decides to reincarnate with the mortal body on Earth so she could end the evil. She was foreseen that the Earth was going to be in grave danger in the future. She decided to get born in a small village on Earth where she will wait for right time to come to kill the demon called Mahishasura and when she also decided to get born with no memories of her being Parvati and just normal mortal girl and she did that for a special reason. Mahishasura was the demon king at that time and he was part demon and part bull. He was also a big devotee of God of Creation Brahma. Mahishasura meditated for thousands of years so he could please God of Creation Brahma. His motive for doing that was so that he could gain power and immortality. After such a long penance Lord Brahma was pleased and presented in front of him and asked him for any boon that he desires. Mahishasura asked for ...

The Video that I choose to take notes on is called “Seven Secrets of the Goddess”. The third part of the video is called Gaia’s Secret. It was a really interesting video I got to learn a lot of stuff in this video about women how they are treated and portrayed from old ages to new ages. It talks about how women are always chaos to the men in the world and men should be always above women. The video starts out talking about how women represent in rural culture and urban culture. In rural culture, women are represented as fertility and in urban culture, women represented as obedience because they indicated control and discipline. Then also see the what different culture see women as such as Chinese culture thought that women and men were equal like Yin and Yang they can’t live without each other and men were thought as a dragon (Yang) and women as a phoenix (Yin). There other secrets that I thought were also good like this one where they talk about that women are the t...

The Video that I choose to take notes on is called “Seven Secrets of the Goddess”. The first part of the video is called Gaia’s Secret. It was a really interesting video I got to learn a lot of stuff about Goddess and Goddess from different mythology such as Greek, Hindu, Egyptian mythology etc. The video starts of with Greek mythology Goddess Gaia’s and she is the Earth Goddess of the Greek mythology and it talks about how the Goddess Gaia’s gave birth to Kronos. But he wasn’t born normally because Kronos was stuck in Gaia’s womb and the only way to get out of her mother womb is to castrate his father and he did. And from that blood was born Goddess of Love Aphrodite and Goddess of Retribution Erinyes. The most shocking part of this story is that when Kronos haves his own sons he started eating them because he was afraid that they would do the same thing to him that he couldn’t kill his last son Zeus the god of thunder because Gaia raised him in secret. In the end, Zeus comes backs a...

The topic I choose to write is on Krishna and the book is called Shri Krishna of Dwarka and Other Stories and from that, I choose to take notes on chapter five “The Syamantaka Jewel” from part B. This eight-chapter is about the adventure of the Syamantaka Jewel and the jewel was a boon from Sun god to Satrajit his devote because of the jewel nobody dared to go near Satrajit to cause trouble. My favorite thing of the Syamantaka Jewel was that only man who is not a coward or evil they would be able to keep the Syamantaka Jewel but if they were evil or a coward they would be killed because that how the Syamantaka Jewel work. And that happened to Prasena the brother of Satrajit. Satrajit gave the jewel to Prasena to safe keep it from getting stolen. But lion killed Prasena, he was not a coward but he led an evil life so the jewel backfired. There was one more interesting thing that I got to learn that Krishna married had eight times in his life and princess Jambavati and Satyab...

Reading Notes: Shri Krishna of Dwarka and Other Stories Part A (week 11)

The topic I choose to write is on Krishna and the book is called Shri Krishna of Dwarka and Other Stories and from that, I choose to take notes on chapter five “The Manhood of Krishna” from part A. This fifth chapter is just about the manhood of Krishna such as how he kills all the demons who were wreaking havoc on the Earth. He killed a lot of demons such as serpent Kaliya and he also freed Rishi Angira from the curse and after that fought demon Arishta. The fight of demon Arishta was one of the favorite parts of this story. Demon Arishta took the form of a giant bull because of that he looked two to three times bigger than normal bull and he terrorizing everyone near the Gokula with fear so Krishna decided to fight him and the way the fight was depicted really blew my mind because it was action pack. Such as part where Krishna kills the bull in the novel, “ Krishna caught its horns in both hands and with a deft twist rolled the monster over on its back. Putting one foot on...
