Story: Parvati Heroic feat.

It was chaos on the Earth because Demons were running rampant on the Earth for past hundred years. So Goddess Parvati decides to reincarnate with the mortal body on Earth so she could end the evil. She was foreseen that the Earth was going to be in grave danger in the future. She decided to get born in a small village on Earth where she will wait for right time to come to kill the demon called Mahishasura and when she also decided to get born with no memories of her being Parvati and just normal mortal girl and she did that for a special reason.

Mahishasura was the demon king at that time and he was part demon and part bull. He was also a big devotee of God of Creation Brahma. Mahishasura meditated for thousands of years so he could please God of Creation Brahma. His motive for doing that was so that he could gain power and immortality. After such a long penance Lord Brahma was pleased and presented in front of him and asked him for any boon that he desires. Mahishasura asked for a boon where no God and man can kill him and Lord Brahma granted his boon.

After that, he was wreaking havoc in all three realm Hell, Heaven, and Mortal because he thought he was immortal that nobody could kill him. After conquering Hell and Heaven he went to conquer mortal realm. After killing millions and millions of humans he finally came to a village where Goddess Parvati was living and fought with him. Mahishasura was surprised that she was able to hurt him because he thought he was immortal but there was a loophole in his boon that he asks for a boon where no man and God can kill him by didn’t say anything about women. So that why Goddess Parvati was born on earth in human form to fight this demon. Goddess Parvati fought for nine days and nine nights and she took nine different form every day to fight him.

Author Note: This the story of Parvati Goddess who took the form of Durga and other eight form and went on the battlefield to fight with Demon Mahishasura and she is also the wife of Lord Shiva the God of Destruction. I haven't made any change in the story and it the same story of Durga slaying the Demon Mahishausra but I just remade the whole story short where it easy to read for people for quick read.

  3. Hi, Jay!
I really liked this story about Parvati. I would suggest maybe making it longer. She seems like a super interesting Goddess and most Goddesses have a lot of background information so I am sure you could easily find some information to add. Also, I would love to know more about the story in a little author’s note since I did not watch this video for class and have no context of how the story is different from the original.

  4. Hey, Jay, I really like your story. I think Parvati is a really interesting goddess and it was awesome getting to read about her. However, I found myself missing the author's note. I think an author's note with a little bit of background about Parvati would really help readers understand your story. You might also consider expanding the story a little more since it is on the short side. Anyway, well done!

  5. Hello again, Jay!
What a beautiful story. Parvati is so beautiful and a defining goddess. You did a really great job retelling this story. However, I agree with Erikah in that the blogpost is missing an author's note. I would love to hear about what sparked your creativity to tell the story the way you did. Overall though, keep up the good work!
