Image
There were ones six brothers and they were the princes of Kuru clan and they are Yudhishthira, Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula, Sahadeva, and Karna. They weren't just ordinary people, they were demigods and Yudhishthira was the son of Dharma (Justice), Bhima was the son of Vayu (Wind), Arjuna was the son of Indra (King of Heaven), Sahadeva and Nakula were twins and they were sons of god Ashvins Kumaras (Gods of Sunrise and Sunset Averting Misfortune and Sickness) and last son Karna was the son of Sun God. They each had a power that they were inherited from God like Nakula and Sahadeva can predict future but soon forget if nobody was there to hear it and both age fifteen. Yudhishthira was ingenious, and dedicated to the path of Dharma like his dad and never lied before age fifteen. Bhima had unmatched physical power and speed and nobody was his match age fifteen. Reading Notes: PDE Mahabharata Part B

Image
The book that I choose to write my notes is on PDE Mahabharata: The Sons of Pandu.  From reading part B, I took notes on chapter 26 and 27.  Chapter 26 is called Draupadi’s Swayamwara and the name of 27 chapters is called Wife of Five Pandavas.  In chapter twenty-seven my favorite parts are when one of the Pandavas brother Arjun hit the target of the eye to become the husband of princess Draupadi. You could just picture the way Arjun hit the golden fish. And it goes like this “He strode forward like to a stately elephant and bared his broad shoulders and ample chest. All eyes watched him. He drew the cord, and the arrow flew upwards with a hissing sound; it hit the target eye, and the golden fish fell and clashed upon the ground. “ The way you can picture him doing the action was really good. From the chapter 27, my favorite part was when the Pandavas try to introduce Draupadi the wife of Arjan but they mess by saying, “A great gift have we obtai...

Reading Notes: PDE Mahabharata Part A

Image
The book that I choose to write my notes is on PDE Mahabharata: The Sons of Pandu.  From reading part A, I took notes on chapter 9 and 10.  Chapter 9 is called Pandu and His Wives and 10 are chapter name is Sons of Pandu.  In chapter nine my favorite parts are when King Pandu met with misfortune in the jungle while hunting for deer. He shot the Brahmin and his wife because he thought the Brahmin and his wife were deer but they weren’t.  When the Brahmin was on his last breath he cursed King Pandu that he will die in the arms of one of his wives. That really shocked the King Pandu and was stricken with fear; so he immediately decides to give whatever he had to the Brahmin and went to live in a solitary place with his two wives. From the chapter 10, my favorite part was when they introduce the Pandu sons because they were not his son but the sons of gods. The first son is Yudhishthira, the son of Dharma (justice), the second son is Bhima, the s...
