Reading Notes: Seven Secrets of the Goddess Kali's Part B

The Video that I choose to take notes on is called “Seven Secrets of the Goddess”. The fifth and sixth part of the video is called Kali’s Secret. It was a really interesting video I got to learn a lot of stuff in this video about Goddess Kali and what do people see Kali as a Goddess. It also talks about three type of Kali Goddess such as symbol of power, wisdom, and shame. The video starts out describing the how Kali looks. From that two part of Kali secret my favorite part of the first is the battle with Demon Raktabeeja. He obtained a boon from Lord Brahma that if any of his blood falls on the ground it would transform into a seeds, which will make a duplicated of himself, so basically nobody could kill him. Shiva personally went to Parvati to go defeat the Raktabeeja Demon. She went into battle with two forms, one with multi arms Chandi and Kali. As Goddess Chandi fought Raktabeeja before his blood fell on the ground Goddess Kali would suck the blood before hitting the ground so it would stop him from making his double and that how Kali killed Raktabeeja.

From the second part of the video is that in Bengal there are two types of Kali Smashan-Kali and Bhadra-Kali and they tell the difference between both of the Kali. And those Kali are Smashan-Kali is also known as Kali of the Crematorium and Bhadra-Kali is know as more considerate of cultural norms and also modest, Smashan Kali nature that ultimately consumes humanity and Bhadra Kali nature that is understanding of human shortcomings, Smashan Kali is wild and free, beyond domestication and Bhadra Kali offers the strength to cope with the limitations of a domesticated life. And those are the difference between both Kali.
