Reading Notes: Mahabharata: The Greatest Spiritual Epic of All Time Part B.
The book that I choose to write my notes is on Mahabharata: The Greatest Spiritual Epic of All Time. From Reading B I chose to take notes on chapter 1.10: Draupadi’s Svayamvar. This was one of my favorite chapters because of the tournament that happens in this chapter was interesting because I am a really big fan of tournament any kind of. This chapter was about Draupadi marriage and to pick the husband for Draupadi they held the tournament to pick her husband and if you want to become her husband you have to hit the eye of the fish in the air by looking at the reflection of the fish in the water. My favorite part where Arjuna and that was my favorite part of this whole chapter he did what nobody could do at the tournament but there was Karna he would have also won the tournament but Draupadi didn’t want him as her husband so he was banned from participating in the Svayamvar. I was so glad to see the Himalaya here, Jay! Maybe you will do a project on Lord Shiva for this class, and all the stories about his home in the mountains. It even connects up with the Ramayana because of the great story about Shiva and Ravana: Ravananugraha: Ravana Shaking Mount Kailash :-)
